Mobile Studio at Dixie Fields – what’s the deal?

There’s so much talent in Country Music – some of it’s already up there on stage — but there’s so much more to be discovered, so much more music to share.

Ian Hall of Manley Hall Music Group (who represents Stevie O’Connor, among others) is offering unsigned singer-songwriters a 15 minute session AT THE DIXIE FIELDS FESTIVAL to lay down a track. Manley Hall Music Group is a boutique record label and music management agency specialising in the development of Country, Americana and Roots music in the UK and US.

Ian and colleagues will set up their mobile recording studio in the acoustic arena from 11.30 on Saturday July 13th providing 15 minute recording slots to individuals or groups with a Country Music song to share. They’ll bring two guitars and a Cajun for people who haven’t their instruments with them. Stevie O’Connor will also be there to offer advice and boost confidence. This is a great opportunity.

Songs will (of course) be the property of the individual or group to take away as a download but there’s an additional element of competition to make this session special. All the songs recorded during the day will be reviewed by MHMG and the Dixie Fields organisers – and the winner will be offered the chance to sing live on stage at Dixie Fields 2020!

Artists must have a valid Dixie Fields 2019 festival ticket and there’ll be a £5 charge to cover expenses. Sessions can be pre-booked – or you can take your chance on the day.
